Additional Information About Values In Action Character Education Program for Schools
The curriculum and activities are built around "7 core ethical virtues" all found in the body. These are the reference points for the entire curriculum.
The Basic Program includes Coordinator's Guide, two Classroom Guides and a set of Character Classics Music Tapes. The guide includes a recommended 15 steps for implementation. The staff may also select from the guide numerous activities to personalize the program for their needs. With over 650 pages (includes the annual updates included in our on line newsletter Values in Action!) you will find ample ideas to launch a successful program for your school.
The Values in Action Network! consists of over 5000 schools in North America Committed to Essential Ethics Education. Research is based on 25 years of teaching "Bedrock Ethics" to children and following them through school into their adult lives.
About the School License
A real unique feature of Values in Action! is the "license to duplicate" which is part of the Basic Program cost because the curriculum is licensed to schools. Schools can copy and modify the strategies to meet their specific school needs. The license also includes hundreds of ideas that are developed each year by our classroom teachers.
