Pay Attention

Pay Attention!

Gene Bedley

One of the most popular songs in my National Discipline Seminar is titled Pay Attention or as the kids call it Little Larry. Paying attention and teaching kids how to focus is one of the most important lessons we can teach kids. The things we pay attention to in our lives are the things that develop, grow, and mature.

If you pay attention to your writing your writing improves.

If you pay attention toward driving defensively you will become more alert of potential accidents.

If you pay attention toward building friendships you'll strengthen relationships with the friends you have.

If you pay attention to your lawn and landscape your plants will look manicured and green.

If you pay attention to your spouse your marriage will grow and mature

If you pay attention to saving your resources it will enable you to make more choices.

If you pay attention to exercise and the foods you eat then you will find balance and physical strength.

If you pay attention to your children they will know they are special, unique, and loved.

We need to train children in looking for the ways to pay attention to learning, achieving personal goals, relating to others and help them see the things you pay attention to always grow.

* Introduce the Character Classics song Little Larry and others that teach the children the importance of Paying Attention!
